Our flooding thoughts and fears
Keep drowning our chances
Of finding peace,
Causing tidal waves of uncertainty
That keep crashing against
Our dreams of calmer seas.
How can we find more stable waters
When our currents are headstrong
On fighting upstream?
Will we ever ebb and flow in confluence
Instead of drifting further and further apart?
But our tides aren't to blame;
After all, their only crime is
Surrendering to the Moon and its game.
