I Know Your Name
Kosara Milenkova
I know your name;
but they didn’t let me believe you’re there -
“alienus” – foreign, unknown, other;
made from another matter.
They told me humans are part stardust,
that we began from chaos, darkness itself;
that we have the cosmos in our veins;
that this is how the universe was created.
“There’s only vacuum, child” – vast, hollow, unreachable;
and nothing lives there.”
What are you made from then?
Human race;
earthly dirt and specks of shiny dust;
would I know it if I saw you?
