Enjy is an editor and a writer from Egypt. She enjoys writing in all its different formats, from poetry and short stories to articles. Her interest lies in language and the power of words, and she incorporates elements of psychology in her works. Her academic background is in English Literature.
Farida is an illustrator and 2D animator from Egypt, with a Bachelor’s in English Literature. She enjoys exploring her imagination and creativity through different hobbies and mediums, including but not limited to music composition, videogame development, tabletop roleplay, and writing.
Ilaria is a writer from Italy, based in Denmark. She is passionate about art and photography along with language learning. Her academic background is in Foreign Languages, Linguistics, and Cultural Studies. She is one of the founding members of Cálice.
Jakob holds a PhD in Science of Arts and is a lecturer for Visual Communication at Malmö University. For his research, he combines artistic and traditional academic approaches, beyond academic text-production he has published comics, poetry, essays, satires, as well as built and performed with puppets.
Khaled is a visual artist and graphic designer from Egypt. He participated in numerous visual arts exhibitions of various specialties including relief prints, oil paintings, photography, and drawing. He won several awards in photography. His academic background is in Fine Arts.
Kira is a Danish-Polish writer. She works as a software developer and uses literary arts as her creative outlet. She primarily writes fiction and poetry, and has an interest in fashion, philosophy, and aerial sports. Her academic background is in Natural Sciences.
Maggie is a self-taught culinary enthusiast from Egypt who found her passion for cooking through a childhood love of watching cooking shows. While her academic background is in Fine Arts, she incorporates that background with her cooking to create visually appealing and tasty meals.
Martin holds a PhD from the University of Glasgow (Creative Writing), with support from the Glasgow School of Art (Architecture) and the Scottish Centre for Crime and Justice Research (Criminology). He is currently a senior lecturer in Creative Writing at Malmö University, Sweden, where he lives with his wife and three kids.
Monica is a Danish comic artist based in Sweden. She works with anything that interests her and is always trying to experiment with her art to improve. Her academic background is in English Literature.
Neda is an Egyptian filmmaker and artist. She always tries to incorporate literary elements in her work. Her academic background is in English Literature.
Nina is a writer from Germany, based in Sweden. She is passionate about sports and hopes to combine her passion with her professional life. She is concerned with environmental issues and climate change. Her academic background is in International Relations and Peace, Mediation and Conflict Research and she is currently studying Journalism and Comics.
Nora is a writer and a painter from Germany, based in Sweden. She enjoys reading, writing, and painting as a means of self-expression. Her academic background is in Philosophy, Sports Science, and Cultural Studies. She is one of the founding members of Cálice.
Sigrid holds a Bachelor’s Degree in the History of Ideas from the University of Gothenburg, with a minor in Sociolinguistics and is an aspiring SFF author. When she isn’t procrastinating working on her novel, she likes to write poetry, short stories and D&D adventures.
Mahmudun is a writer from Bangladesh, based in Sweden. He is passionate about culture and storytelling. He worked in the field of journalism and filmmaking. His academic background is in Media and Communications, and Cultural Studies. He is one of the founding members of Cálice.
